Peel Community Legal Services
Peel Community Legal Services (PCLS) is an initiative of the State Government facilitated the establishment of a fully funded Community Legal Service for the Peel Region in Mandurah in July 2004. Peel Community Legal Services currently provides a number of services which range from general legal advice, community legal education and advocacy to law reform opportunities on behalf of communities in the Peel region. Building on the work of the formerly volunteer based service, Peel Community Legal Services have established a base for their services which includes an outreach service to the broader Peel region in such areas as Pinjarra and Waroona.
Peel Community Legal Services offers free legal advice and advocacy support to people of the Peel region who fit the eligibility criteria.
Peel Community Legal Services has limited resources and relies on Commonwealth and State government funding to offer legal and advocacy services to our community and so there is a limit to the number of appointments we are able to schedule.
Clients who book appointments and do not attend these appointments are taking an opportunity from others who may be in urgent need of assistance.
In order to ensure that others are not disadvantaged and we are making the most of our resources we have a Cancellation / No Show policy that will be applied to clients missing appointments without providing notice of their inability to attend or who cancel at very short notice.
Clients who miss TWO appointments without contact or at short notice will NOT be rescheduled or booked for any further appointments on that matter.
PEEL COMMUNITY LEGAL SERVICES IS PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA THROUGH THE STATE COMMUNITY LEGAL SERVICES PROGRAM AND THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE.
